Biography
Refaat M. Mahfouz is now a professor of materials sciences at the department of chemistry , Faculty of science , Assiut university , Egypt. He holds his B.Sc. , M.Sc., and Ph.D., degrees from Assiut university , Egypt . He got more than one fellowship to work as a guest scientist at nuclear research Centre , juelich , and nuclear research Centre , Dresden , Germany .He was a guest scientist for two weeks at Cosmo chemistry institute , university of Hawaii , USA in 2010 He shifted to work as a prof. of materials sciences and nuclear sciences at King Saud University , Saudi Arabia in the period from 1996-2011. He has published more than one hundred publications in the field of nuclear chemistry ,radiation chemistry ,bio-inorganic chemistry, solid state chemistry ,and nanotechnology in ISI scientific journals such as Radiochimica Acta , Radioanalytical and Nuclear chemistry Articles , Radiation Effects and Defects in Solids , Radiation Physics and Chemistry , Thermochimica Acta and others. He has one Patent in nanotechnology. He supervised more than 20 theses in the field of solid state chemistry, nanotechnology and radiochemistry ,He translated the book “ Basic Solid State Chemistry†by Antony West , The book “ Crystal Structure Analysis Principles and Practice by W. Clegg and et al.. to Arabic language. He has good experience in X-ray single crystal analysis and he has publications in this field in ISI International crystallographic journals. In addition to this he has also good experience in computational chemistry and he has some publications in this field. He serves as a reviewer in a wide range of international journals.

Biography
Stephen J. Fey has a background in biomedical science having worked in research universities and companies for the past 30 years. He obtained his PhD at Kings College, London University. He became a pioneer in 2D gel electrophoresis using 2DGE to study cervical cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular problems. SJF has 116 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has filed 34 patents. He was the co-founder of the Centre for Proteome Analysis in 1997 (a new institute at the University of Southern Denmark & the world’s first purpose built proteomics institute) and became CEO when the institute was spun out of the SDU to become DrugMode ApS in 2006. In 2011 he became TCEL group leader at SDU, developing 3D cell and tissue culture systems to mimic in vivo physiology and toxicology. He was co-founder of CelVivo in 2014, a spin out company, commercialising equipment and disposables for 3D cell culture.

Biography
Carmen Tamayo, MD directs the Canada Region of HeteroGeneity, LLC. Venezuelan by birth and Canadian by citizenship, she trained in internal medicine at the Central University of Venezuela. After moving to Canada with family, she completed postgraduate studies in Public Health and Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. Since 1995, she has actively participated in policy and regulatory activities addressing traditional, complementary and alternative medicine (TCAM) research, with the Canadian National Cancer Institute. Her consulting has included government, industry, and nonprofit scientific organizations, including HeteroGeneity (since 2008), McMaster University Centre for Evidence Based Medicine, and the University of Western Ontario School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. For Health Canada’s Natural Health Products (NHP) Directorate she served as Clinical Trial Project Coordinator for Product Review and Assessment, collaborating in the Agency’s development of a framework for NHP clinical trials. She has chaired and directed numerous programs and workshops as a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA), The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), and the Latin American phytomedicine society (Sociedad Latinoamericana de Fitomedicina). She also serves as an expert reviewer for the World Health Organization and other international committees and several CAM and Phytotherapy journals, and is a past co-editor of the Journal of Integrative and Complementary Medicine (JICM) – An international forum for evidence-based practices.
